Pigmentation Treatment

Pigmentation is a common condition caused by melanin – a pigment in your body that gives your skin, eyes and hair its colour. Special cells in the skin make melanin. When these cells are damaged or unhealthy, it affects melanin production.

Pigmentation concerns include Pigmented Birthmarks, Macular Stains, Hemangiomas, and Port Wine Stains, to Albinism, Melasma, Vitiligo and Pigmentation Loss due to skin damage. At Everything Skin Clinic, we successfully treat hundreds of pigmentation cases each year. Our medically-led Pigmentation Treatment service means every patient is treated by a Consultant Dermatologist to ensure the best possible care.

pigmentation Treatments

We treat various pigmentation concerns – from Pigmented Birthmarks, Macular Stains, Hemangiomas, and Port Wine Stains, to  Albinism, Melasma, Vitiligo and Pigmentation Loss due to skin damage. Our experienced professionals will guide you to healthier skin.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy involves the application of freezing temperatures to target the pigmented patch. Using liquid nitrogen or similar agents, the procedure freezes and destroys abnormal or damaged pigmentation cells, allowing healthier skin to regenerate. Cryotherapy is highly controlled, ensuring that only the pigmented cells are affected, leaving the surrounding healthy skin intact.

Laser Treatment

Laser Pigmentation Treatment targets pigmented lesions by absorbing the light and leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. The laser heats up and shatters the pigment, drawing it to the surface without harming the surrounding tissue. This process fades or dries and flakes off the treated area, leaving your skin with a smooth and even complexion.

Microdermabrasion

Cryotherapy involves the application of freezing temperatures to target the pigmented patch. Using liquid nitrogen or similar agents, the procedure freezes and destroys abnormal or damaged pigmentation cells, allowing healthier skin to regenerate. Cryotherapy is highly controlled, ensuring that only the pigmented cells are affected, leaving the surrounding healthy skin intact.

Chemical Peels

A Chemical Peel entails the application of a chemical solution onto the face, neck, and hands to exfoliate the skin, stimulate the growth of new skin, and reveal a fresher and rejuvenated appearance. By using acids at stronger concentrations, a Chemical Peel can reduce the appearance of pigmentation by removing the top layer of skin.
