KEEPING OUR PATIENTS AND STAFF SAFE
The current outbreak of Covid-19 undoubtably raises concerns for everyone, our priority at Everything Skin Clinic is the safety of our staff and patients. New procedures have been put in place to protect staff and patients and to help maintain social distancing.
We would like to share the new measures we have put in place to protect our patients, staff and the public at this time. We will continue to treat patients but have updated our processes to follow Government advice.
We have added the facility of video consultations as an alternative to coming into clinic. We recommend taking advantage of this service, particularly if you have underlying health conditions that put you in a high-risk category.
PPE Personal Protective equipment
If you are attending one of our clinics, our consultants and other clinical staff will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE is a necessary measure to reduce the risk of virus transmission and is for your protection, as well for the protection of our team. We will also ask you to wear PPE – gloves and a face mask. These will be provided for you when you visit reception.
Additional checks prior to appointments
You may receive an additional phone call prior to your appointment from a member of our team, who will ask you about any current symptoms you may have, whether you have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed Covid-19 case, or whether you have any underlying health conditions that may put you in a high risk category. We request that you return your registration form prior to your appointment, which will now also include questions relating to Covid-19.
In the clinic on arrival
On entering a clinic, you may be asked to have your temperature taken. A fever is one of the main symptoms of Coronavirus; if you have a high temperature, we may ask you to return home and we will reschedule your appointment at a later date or as a video consultation if appropriate.
If you have any concerns about accessing or attending a clinic, we are happy to answer any questions via phone or email prior to your appointment.
Our clinics are being carefully scheduled to allow social distancing and cleaning between patients. A member of the team will advise where to sit when you arrive for your appointment in order for us to maintain maximum distance between patients in any waiting area.
We ask that you do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that our waiting areas do not get too busy. We also ask that you attend appointments on your own where possible or advise us on your registration form if you plan to bring someone along with you.
