Dr Pooja Trehan has held a substantive NHS consultant post in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS trust since 2019. She studied at the University of Leeds and went on to complete her dermatology training in London and more recently in the Mersey deanery.
Dr Trehan consults on all aspects of skin disease in adults with a particular interest in general medical dermatology and skin cancer. She has a vast experience in successfully treating difficult to manage psoriasis, eczema, severe sweating and acne. She is experienced in managing complex psoriasis patients through her role in the biologic clinic at her trust. Dr Trehan also regularly performs skin surgery to remove skin cancers and benign lesions. Her compassionate and caring nature additionally lends itself to the psychological impact of long-term skin conditions.
She is committed to teaching the next generation of dermatologists and is the undergraduate and resident doctor lead for dermatology teaching in her NHS trust.
